W.A. Ellis was a triple winner at the 2010 Lettings Agency of the Year Awards, held in association with The Sunday Times and The Times and Belvoir also picked up a top trophy.
The event, hosted by Estate Agency Events at the QII Conference Centre in London, was attended by the UK’s top letting agents. Awards were judged by industry experts and chaired by The Property Ombudsman with the backing of ARLA.
W.A.Ellis picked up Best Luxury Lettings - Gold Award; Best Single Office Lettings Agency - Gold Award; and Best Customer Service - Silver Award.
For the luxury lettings award the judges said: W. A. Ellis showed they genuinely give an exceptional service to all their landlords and tenants via exemplary communication channels, highly trained, expert staff and comprehensive marketing.
“They are market leaders in luxury lettings and in recent times, not only have they established one of the highest rental yields at the top end of the market but have also increased the business they do for many of the central London landed estates, including winning a sole agency contract for 70 properties in an exclusive area of Knightsbridge.”
Dorian Gonsalves, the company’s Operations Director, accepted Belvoir’s award. It was presented by comedian Ruby Wax and Annmarie Blomfield, Managing Director of One Property Place, sponsors of the Best Lettings Agency Franchise category.
Gonsalves said: “The award for Best Lettings Agency Franchise is testament to the pride, passion and dedication of all our Franchise Owners in promoting the Belvoir brand, and providing outstanding customer service to their tenant and landlord clients. The award also recognizes the high level of support and training that the team at Central Office constantly provides, and on which we pride ourselves so much.”
In making the award to Belvoir the judging panel noted: “Belvoir is one of the largest franchise operations in the country and one of the few specialising solely in lettings.
“They have stringent standards for franchisees to adhere to and high quality individuals are only accepted after demonstrating their drive to succeed and their potential make substantial returns for the group.”
