Rags to riches survivor, Juliet Ashton-Taylor has claimed the title of the National Landlords Association’s Property Woman of the Year 2010.
The buy to let entrepreneur from Gateshead threw herself into property investment after she lost everything when her marriage broke down in 1999.
She has adopted a caring approach to her work and has used her business to not only transform her own life, but to keep a room free in her portfolio to help someone in difficult circumstances.
The Awards were presented by TV personality Melissa Porter, who praised the winner. She said: “Juliet is a true ‘rags to riches’ story and she fully deserves this award.
“She has proven that with the right application, sheer hard work and determination, property can be a sound investment that has the ability to change your life.
“She is a true inspiration and I cannot think of a better role model for whom women can aspire to become.”
The search began for award winners in March and along with 11 regional awards, accolades were also presented to the NLA Green Property Woman, NLA Young Property Woman, NLA Local Authority Property Woman and NLA Letting Agent Property Woman.
